Katie is a creative, adaptable and can-do strategic leader with a wide breadth of experience in Leadership, Management and Inclusion.
Katie joined Human Alchemy following 16 years exemplary service in the RAF as a Personnel Officer, working across the UK on front line operating bases and at Headquarters. She has extensive experience in leading and managing large teams across varied portfolios, including personnel and performance management, career development, Executive support, infrastructure, assurance and welfare.
For over a decade she has supported improved lived experiences in the workplace for people at all levels, as a passionate advocate for EDIB. She was the Head of the RAF Diversity and Inclusion team for 2 years, authoring top level organisational policy and strategy, leading benchmarking and engagement activities, delivering training and enabling myriad employee network groups, allies and voluntary ambassadors. Measuring the effect of initiatives over the longer term was of particular interest, underpinning these with a strategic governance structure and robust mechanisms for holding the organisation to account.
As a strategic leader and people-centred manager, she remains curious about leadership and management theories, and is driven to help make best practice relatable and pragmatic for leaders at all levels to embrace. She takes immense satisfaction from nurturing potential in people she works with, utilising her empathetic, personable style to meet people where they’re at and identify their needs holistically.
Katie is known for being a highly organised and adaptable professional, able to build strong networks and solve problems through pragmatic, critical thinking. She likes to challenge generously and objectively to empower organisations and their leaders to become extraordinary.
